A farewell reception for Dr. David Newman has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 30th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the TC Lounge, located on the 14th floor of the East Tower. David is retiring from Ithaca College after serving as the Director of Health Services for the past seventeen years. David will be pursuing an opportunity to work as a hospitalist and consultant in a rural area of Newfoundland, Canada on a permanent part-time (every other month) basis. Please join us at this event to thank David for his years of service and many contributions to the College and to wish him well in his new endeavors. When Dr. Newman left private practice to head IC's Health Center, I had mixed feelings--sorry to lose a great personal physician, but confident that he would be a great addition to IC's caring, knowledgeable staff. So, once again, I am faced with mixed feelings--sadness that he is leaving us (the years have flown by!), but happy for him and the people he will serve in his New-found-land.
