Ithaca College

This summer the Hammond Health Center changed its pharmacy provider from Kinney Drugs to Wegmans Pharmacy. We believe that this change will bring many advantages to the students of Ithaca College, just a few of which are access to free antibiotics, better discount drug programs, and better access to the pharmacy. 

Starting this semester, arrangements have been made with Wegman’s Pharmacy for delivery service to the Health Center. To participate, you must complete a “New Student Form” and if you have prescription plan, you must provide a copy of your insurance card. The Health Center will forward prescriptions to Wegman’s Pharmacy and will receive deliveries twice daily, Monday-Friday. 

Once information is on file at Wegman’s Pharmacy, future medications can be ordered and delivered to the Health Center. When refills (if available) are needed, it is the student’s responsibility to call Wegman’s Pharmacy to request medication refills. If the student lists an Ithaca College address on the Wegman’s “New Student Form” the prescription will automatically be delivered to the Hammond Health Center at Ithaca College. 

Charges or co-pays for prescription medications ordered from Wegman’s Pharmacy and delivered to the Health Center can be charged directly to the student Bursar’s Account, or paid for with cash, check, debit card or credit card (MasterCard, VISA & Discover only). However, if prescriptions are picked up in person at the store, the student Bursar’s Account cannot be used. Payment must be made directly to Wegman’s Pharmacy at the time of personal pick-up.  Delivery is for prescription medications only. Wegman’s is unable to deliver over-the-counter medications or grocery items. 

Please note that Medications delivered to the Health Center by Wegmans pharmacy are not returnable and non-refundable and must be picked up within 14 days of delivery. If you order medications that you do not pick up, your student account will be charged!

Returning students who presently have prescriptions on file at Kinney Drugs can continue to have those prescriptions filled there if you choose, however you will NOT BE ABLE TO CHARGE THEM TO YOUR ITHACA COLLEGE STUDENT ACCOUNTS. You will need to pay Kinney Drugs for your medications directly and work out pick up or delivery service with them directly. If you need assistance in transferring your prescription from Kinney Drugs to Wegmans pharmacy our medication room staff will be happy to assist you.
