Shoot Better Video with ANY Camcorder

This session will examine the basic techniques of shooting video that apply to both consumer and professional video cameras. This session will review framing, lighting, exposure, focus, depth of field, sound, recording media and more. Particular attention will be paid to shooting in a classroom environment.

This session is in demonstration/discussion format.

De-Mystifying Digital Audio

This session will examine modern digital audio capture techniques and the software used to create audio files for inclusion in podcasts, Sakai, and iTunes U. This session will cover the various settings and define concepts and terms such as file format, sample rate, compression, bit-rate and more.

Better Screen Captures

This session will examine PC and Mac options for capturing the screen and getting the highest resolution images and video possible for use in the classroom and for presentations. This session will review Camtasia, QuickTime Pro, QuickTime X, Preview, Grab, and Microsoft Windows Media Encoder.
