Arhlene A. Flowers, assistant professor in Integrated Marketing Communications, co-authored a peer-reviewed chapter, “Virtual Worlds for Collaborative Meetings,” in a new IGI Global reference book, Business Organizations and Collaborative Web: Practices, Strategies and Patterns.

International organizations are entering a variety of virtual worlds to promote collaboration among their geographically dispersed workforce for training and meetings. This chapter (http://www.igi-global.com/bookstore/chapter.aspx?titleid=54057) addresses opportunities and challenges in conducting meetings and events in virtual worlds, as well as case studies on companies utilizing virtual worlds for business-to-business and business-to-consumer interactions with internal and external audiences.
