Asma Barlas, professor and director of the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, published two papers recently: “September 11, 2001: Remember Forgetting,” in the Journal of Political Theology (Vol. 12, No. 5, October 2011) and “Abraham’s Sacrifice in the Qur’an: Beyond the Body,” in Religion and the Body, Donner Institute for Research in the History of Religion, Åbo Akademi University, Finland (June, 2011).
