Did you know that walking can help you achieve a number of important health benefits. Walking can help you:

  • Lower low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (the "bad" cholesterol)
  • Raise high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (the "good" cholesterol)
  • Lower your blood pressure
  • Reduce your risk of or manage type 2 diabetes
  • Manage your weight
  • Improve your mood
  • Stay strong and fit

IC Walks, our HR sponsored 6 week walking challenge for the fall semester, is holding an informational meeting TOMORROW, Tuesday, September 13th from 2:30 – 3:30pm in the Peggy Ryan Williams Center, Garden Level room GL52. We’ll cover topics such as:

  • Start and end date of challenge
  • Tracking your steps (with a FREE pedometer)
  • Walking maps and routes on campus
  • Prizes and more!
