Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Susan Faludi -- whose most recent book exposed media fantasy and fear in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks -- will present “9/11: Myth, Media and Gender” in Emerson Suites, on Monday, Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m. (Sponsored by the Park Center for Independent Media).

Faludi’s latest book is “The Terror Dream: Myth and Misogyny in an Insecure America.” Her first book was the mega-bestseller “Backlash: The Undeclared War Against American Women” -- which won the National Book Critics Award for Nonfiction in 1991 and was one of the most-discussed books of the era. Her articles have appeared in many publications including Harper’s, Ms. and The Nation; she won a Pulitzer Prize when she was a reporter for the Wall Street Journal.
