Call for Musical Instruments! OWEGO ELEMENTARY Needs Your Help!Contributed by Molly O'Shea Polk on 09/15/11
The students will be starting the year in an empty school in the Union-Endicott District, and do not have enough instruments left to begin their programs. They are asking for donations of any and all instruments. If you have any beginner instruments or other instruments you may no longer have a use for, please consider donating it to the Owego Elementary students. All donations can be dropped off at the Dean's Office within the Ithaca College School of Music. Donations will be picked up weekly. The cleanup from the historic flooding in our region has begun, and we are asking for your help. Owego Elementary School (pictured) was severely damaged with several feet of water throughout the building. The Owego area schools have always been particularly supportive of the Ithaca College School of Music and our Music Education Department. They have hosted countless student teachers over the years, and now they are asking for help from the Ithaca community.
