Society for Music Teacher Education

Faculty and student members of the Ithaca College Music Education department were well represented at the 2011 Symposium on Music Teacher Education; Intersections of Practice, Research, and Policy, held this week at the University of North Carolina Greensboro. 

Dr. Dan Isbell with undergraduate students, Dana Arbaugh, Devon LePore, and Christina Santoro presented: "The Initial Teaching Experience of Preservice Music Educators"

Dr. Keith Kaiser and Dr. Susan Avery presented: "The Alumni Cohort Project (ACP): Utilizing Alumni Cohorts to Provide Multiple Data Sets for Program Evaluation"

Dr. Chad West presented: Perceptions of Ability to Teach Middle School Jazz and the Experiences That Prepare Preservice Music Teachers to Effectively Do So. An Exploratory Sequential Mixed Studies Method.
