Join the IC Environmental Society (ICES) as we celebrate Moving Planet on Saturday, September 24, an international rally for clean energy solutions to the climate crisis by taking advantage of alternative forms of transportation, supporting local farms, and enjoying our beautiful natural surroundings, all in one day!
BIKE TOUR PLAN:
- Meet at the Park TCAT bus stop @ 10:30am; depart @ 11am
- Bike en masse from campus to the Ithaca Farmers' Market (wear a helmet)
- Buy some goods to make sandwiches/lunch (we can help w/costs)
- Bike to Stewart Park via the Cayuga Waterfront Trail
- Enjoy our fresh, local lunch!
***If you don't have a bike or want put your bike on the bus on the way back up to campus: please email ices1970@gmail.com by Tuesday at 5pm to sign up for a one-day TCAT bus pass (check tcatbus.com for schedules)***
You can also walk, run, skip, rollerblade, skateboard, kayak, hang glide, or unicycle with us! :)
NIGHT HIKE PLAN:
- Meet at the lower entrance of campus (below Gardens at Coddington Rd.) @ 8pm
- Walk to Six Mile Creek natural area and hike!
