Waltz with Bashir, Ari Folman's animated documentary on his combat memories of the 1982 Lebanon War, is being screened Thursday, September 22, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 101.

Sponsored by the Jewish Studies program and Hillel, this is the first film in the "Israeli Voices: Contemporary Israeli Films" series.

There are three other films in the series, with the next one being screened on October 11 at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 101. It is "City of Borders," and tells the story of Shushan, a gay bar in Jerusalem, which provided a meeting place for Jews and Arabs, religious and secular, in the middle of a divided city. The filmmaker, Yun Suh, will speak before the film and will participate in a talkback afterwards.
