14850.com, recently launched an iphone app to help community members navigate the TCAT system.

The app can determine where the user is and then display the right route or routes to get them where they're going. It will offer multiple options where available, letting the user pick the best option for them based on their preferences for least walking, fewest transfers, or shortest total time.

The app was developed by David Kornreich, an assistant professor in Physics, in conjunction with 14850.com, a news and information source for Ithaca and Tompkins County community. Ari Kissiloff, an assistant professor in the Department of Strategic Communication is the President and CEO of Public Communications, Inc., a local business and marketing firm, that publishes 14850.com.

Ride14850 is a free app, available in Apple's iTunes App Store, that works with Apple's popular iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices. Ride14850 is offered independently, and is not affiliated in any way with TCAT. To download the app, click here.

This is awesome! I like how the program uses your current location to find the
best itinerary.
