The scroll was smuggled into a concentration camp during the Holocaust and was safeguarded by Joachim Joseph, a Holocaust survivor. This particular Torah, not only carried a young Holocaust survivor's grief, but also the prospect and promise of cultural respect and wisdom. Cohen takes us through, what Ilan Ramon equates, "from the depths of hell, to the heights of space." Cohen is a six-time Emmy award-winning producer of corporate and live television as well as being a documentary filmmaker. The film's production partners include Playtone (Tom Hanks) and Herzog and Company. The film recently won "Best Documentary Award" at the L.A. Jewish Film Festival. The event is co-sponsored by IC Hillel. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact April Johanns at the Roy H.
