Tickets for “The Bacchae” are free but reservations are required. To reserve tickets please e-mail ICTams1@gmail.com and indicate a first and second choice of performance date and time. All tickets are distributed on a first come first serve basis, and must be picked up at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the performance. Performance times are 5:00pm and 8:00pm on Sunday, October 16th, 5:30pm and 10:30pm on Monday, October 17th, and 5:30 on Tuesday, October 18th. All performances will be held in Studio 2 in Dillingham Center. “The Bacchae” tells the story of Dionysus, the god of wine, prophecy, religious ecstasy, and fertility, returning to his birthplace of Thebes in search of redemption for his mother's death. Dionysus is not welcomed openly and so goes on a mission to prove himself a god to the citizens of Thebes. “The Bacchae” focuses on the complexities of love, the importance of family, the value of life and the reality of death. The cast of “The Bacchae” includes, Roger Dunkelbarger ‘14, Graham Drake- Maurer ‘12, Max Lorn-Krause ‘12, Luke Wise ‘12, Dennis Chambers ‘14, Amberlee Weber ‘12, Kate Cough ‘13, Emily Austin ’13, Sarah Hebert-Johnson ’13, Coleman Hemsath ’15, and Devon Cox ’15. “The Bacchae” artistic staff includes scenic/costume designer Renny Cullen ‘13, lighting designer Kristof Janezic ’13, sound designer/technical director Alex Dietz-Kest ’14, stage manager Ben Andersen ‘12, dramaturg Char Manlove-Laws ’12 and choreographer Ariana Hawthorne-Davis ‘12. A nationally recognized professional theater-training program, the Department of Theatre Arts attracts students from across the United States. Throughout the production season, undergraduate students present all aspects of theater in a professional model. Dillingham Center proudly accommodates all patrons.
