“Alternative Spring Break Helped Me Grow Personally and Professionally” –Jenny Barish ‘14Contributed by Don Austin on 10/11/11 Read what Jenny Barish ’14 gained from participating in Alternative Spring Break. “I signed up for Alternative Spring Break because I wanted to get my hands dirty—but I ended up getting so much more. The Washington D.C. trip helped me grow personally and professionally. I got to work with different non-profit organizations, and began to see myself in D.C. as an employee of these amazing organizations. I also got the chance to do some heavy lifting as I worked on a garden in the area. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Donald Austin at austin@ithaca.edu.
