As a 2012 Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF) intern, you can start your media, film, new media, art, music, creative industries, activist,writing, or environmental career right now, on the Ithaca College campus. Learn the inside scoop, network, hang out with people doing what you want to do, see cutting edge film and new media, immerse yourself in debates of urgency and significance--and have fun!
Three types of internship available: FLEFF Intern, open to all students, including first year students FLEFF Intern Team Leader, open to students who have experience as FLEFF interns FLEFF Assistant to the Internship Coordinators, open to seniors who have experience as FLEFF interns Applications and Practicum All internships require an application available for download here. Interns are competitively selected. All interns must enroll in a one credit p/f course that meets Wed 6:50 -8:05 p.m for Spring 2012. FLEFF Practicum trains interns with festival producers and high profile media industry professionals Ann Michel and Phil Wilde, coprincipals of Insights International, to help to mount FLEFF 2012. FLEFF 2012 runs from March 26-April 1, on the Ithaca College campus and downtown at Cinemapolis, Ithaca's non profit art cinema. The 2012 programming theme is Microtopias. How to Apply Applications should be hand-delivered to Rosalie Fitzgerald, Assistant to Dr. Tanya Saunders, Assistant Provost for International Studies and Special Programs, in CHS 214-01 by Nov 15, 2011. Hard copy only. No handwritten applications accepted. Internships are open to all students from all majors from all schools at all class standings at Ithaca College. FLEFF actively seeks an intern cohort that represents the entire college. No prior festival or media or arts experience necessary. FLEFF Intern Benefits Students enrolled as interns in FLEFF Practica are eligible for special discounts on FLEFF passes, receive a complimentary FLEFF Staff t-shirt, and also will have special meetings/sessions with FLEFF guests as well as other benefits.
