Danette Johnson, Professor of Communication Studies, and Greg Acquavella '11, an alum of the Communication Studies program, have co-authored an article titled, "Organization-public relationship satisfaction and intention to retain a relationship with a cell phone service provider", which will be published in The Southern Communication Journal in 2012.   Greg is currently a graduate student in the Roy H. Park School of Communications.

The article examines factors of an organization's relationship with consumers that are related to consumer satisfaction and intent to continue a relationship with the organization. Consumers' sense of personal commitment was related with both satisfaction and intent to maintain a relationship. Organizational social responsibility and alternative service provider cost were not associated with satisfaction or intent, although they have been in other studies looking at different types of organizations.

This article developed out of a directed research project that Acquavella completed last spring when he was an undergraduate in Communication Studies (H&S).
