Dr. Chris McNamara was recently invited to speak at the 2011 World Aquatic Health Conference (sponsored by the National Swimming Pool Foundation), held in Seattle Washington October 12-14.

Her lecture, "The Older Adult: Balance Training and Fall Prevention Using the Aquatic Environment", focused on the benefits of using an aquatic environment to conduct therapeutic exercise programs designed to improve balance and prevent falls in the elderly population.

Dr. McNamara is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and the Director of the Occupational and Physical Therapy Clinic.
