Visiting Fulbright scholar from Nigeria to discuss international mass communication and global citizenship; 8 pm, Tuesday, 10/25, Ithaca Falls Room

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Emmanuel Odozi from Nigeria, who will participate in the International Scholarly Conversation Series sponsored by the International Club and the Honors Program. His talk “International Mass Communication and Construction of Global Citizenship” will be at 8 pm on Tuesday, October 25 in the Ithaca Falls room in the Campus Center. A discussion will follow the presentation. Light refreshments will be provided.

Dr. Odozi is from Bingham University, Karu, Nigeria, and received his Doctorate in Media Arts from the University of Ajuba and Master’s in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria. Dr. Odozi has published seven books, six peer-reviewed journal articles, and has also conducted many conferences and seminars. Dr. Odozi is Senior Lecturer and chair of the Department of Mass Communication at his home institution. He has been executive editor at The Republican Magazine and general editor at Nigerian News World Magazine as well.   Dr. Odozi is currently a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at Fayetteville State University.
