The Sustainability Café on Monday, November 14th will feature Carl Anthony and Paloma Pavel, speaking on Breakthrough Communities: Front line stories and strategies linking social justice and ecological sustainability.” This Café will be held in Textor Hall Room 101 at 4:00PM. (Note the room change for this week only).

The Fall 2011 Sustainability Café series is held in conjunction with the Environmental Seminar. Other campus co-sponsors for this Café include the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, the Department of Sociology, and the “Committed to Change” program. 

Carl Anthony and Paloma Pavel are beacons of practical hope and empowerment. Their presentation will focus on building successful coalitions; they will offer case histories of empowerment and positive visions for a metropolitan equity world as featured in their book: Breakthrough Communities: Building Sustainability and Justice in the Next American Metropolis. In these very challenging times, it is important to know in-depth about successful coalitions and initiatives that lay a foundation for a more just and healthy world.

This event is free and open to the public.
