Israeli film "Fog" screening November 8, 7:00 p.m., Textor 101Contributed by Rebecca Lesses on 10/28/11
A fascinating story of bereavement and mysticism, “Fog” tells the story of Mu’in Halabi, an Israeli soldier who disappeared during a battle with the Syrians at the beginning of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. The Israeli Defense Forces later announced that his body had been found, and a casket was buried in his hometown, the Druze village of Daliat el-Carmel. The “Israeli Voices” film series is sponsored by the Jewish Studies program at Ithaca College with support from alumnus Steven Weiss ’91.
