The next SAFER meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 1 in Williams 224!

Students Active for Ending Rape is a pro-active organization on campus that strives to prevent violence and sexual assault and promote healthy relationships through education and raising awareness.

Our approach is to be pro-active through open discussion on topics such as (but not limited to) gender stereotypes, how sexual assault is portrayed in the media, and myths that perpetuate victim blaming.

If there is a current event in the news, an article you've read, or any other example that you think could spark a discussion, bring it to the meeting. New members are always welcome!

At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, in Textor 103 we will be screening "Welcome to the Party," a rape awareness and prevention film directed and edited by Assistant Professor of Television and Radio Tom Nicholson, and following it with an open discussion.
