If researching issues like energy & climate, Chinese/Russian/Middle East/South Asian studies, nuclear weapons, intl. economics or democracy appeals to you, apply to be a Junior Fellow with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Each year the endowment selects 8 to 10 graduating seniors (or alumni of less than one year who have not yet enrolled in graduate coursework) to serve as research assistants in Washington, D.C. These are paid, full-time, one-year positions with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Junior Fellows program.
