The session description is below: There appears a need to examine what are effective ways of assessing the development of student knowledge, disposition and performance that inform instructional practice and student learning in outdoor leader preparation programs. Critical action research enhancing outdoor adventure leadership instructional practice is an example of the application of critical action research strategies to enhance instructional practice within an outdoor adventure leadership preparation program. Thereby providing a methodology in which curriculum may be evaluated. Action research lends itself to be an intuitive methodology to use in outdoor leadership to determine if a given curriculum is a achieving the competencies and the competencies are the right ones. |
