Documentary filmmaker, co-founder of Juice Grove Films and alumnus Jon Korn '06 will screen his documentary on Wednesday, Nov., 16 at 8:15 p.m. in Park Hall auditorium. Jon will be available to talk with students and answer questions after the screening.

His film, titled LADUMA is the story of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, told through the eyes of adventurous American soccer supporters who traveled to South Africa to experience the first ever World Cup on the African continent. It is also about South Africa's long journey from a land suffering through the injustices of apartheid to a richly diverse nation that represents what the sport of soccer - and the world - is all about. USA and South African World Cup games are relived dramatically through animated still images and South African radio commentary. However, the heart of the film is the experiences that happen off the pitch, as we see how The Beautiful Game can bring people and cultures together.

Jon Korn Bio
After graduating from Ithaca College's Park School of Communications in 2006, Jon Korn worked as a video editor and designer for two NYC based advertising agencies. In 2008, he co-founded a production company called Juice Groove Films with longtime friend and fellow producer/editor, Ashwin Chaudhary. Juice Groove Films specializes in branded commercial production and documentary, serving clients from Coca-Cola to Budweiser and Harley-Davidson.

Having always been passionate about soccer and travelling, Jon and Ashwin developed the idea to follow America's most passionate USA fans through the World Cup qualifying process. ONE GOAL: Road to South Africa was released in a 6-part series virally and developed a large underground following of soccer supporters. In the summer of 2010, Juice Groove Films raised enough money to travel to South Africa and document the fans experience at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Nine month of editing later, LADUMA is Juice Groove Films first feature film.
