 Join LIPS (Labor Initiative in Promoting Solidarity) on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15 at 7:00 pm in IC Square for OCCUPY THE MIC, a speak-out event and discussion about student debt. 

We want to break the silence surrounding student loans and debt. Over $190,000, the 4-year cost of attending Ithaca College, is a lot NOT to talk about. 

You don't get into this much debt without having your own story. Come share yours. 

From the Occupy movement, we've seen that money isn't a PRIVATE matter anymore. It's something that's OK to talk about, and it's something that's IMPORTANT to talk about. As students, many of us are in debt or will be in debt in the near future. LIPS thinks our personal struggles with student debt and our collective struggle aren't separate. 

Students, professors, and members of IC SPIT THAT will be speaking out to share their stories, and we'd love to hear yours, too.
