It’s not science fiction or an urban myth, sometimes people don’t buy something for an entire day. If you want to be one of these super humans, try to do it with the rest of us on November 25th. Instead of heading to the mall, make some coffee, sit down, and breathe deeply….and then realize how great it is not to be part of a shopping frenzy. You’re welcome. I never do -- have never shopped Black Friday. All my gifts are already purchased and wrapped and some are already in shipping boxes, ready to go to family far and wide. Why leave it late and stress out? But I may buy a few more small things on Saturday November 26 on the day set aside to support small local businesses.

I will not be shopping on Thursday OR Friday. But I will shop on Saturday and visit all the local businesses that I can!

I spent part of the summer making loads of homemade jams with local
strawberries, raspberries, peaches, some from the grapes from my own yard. These will be my Christmas gifts this year. Buy Nothing Day Comment from

...and support Small Business Saturday on November 26th. The Finger Lakes Region is home to hundreds of local businesses that sell everything that everyone could possibly need to fill christmas lists, and some things you never would have thought of! http://smallbusinesssaturday.com/
