Recycling: It’s YOUR responsibility

Before everyone heads off campus for break and forgets everything that doesn’t involve turkey and mashed potatoes, REMP would like to provide everyone with some recycling tips:

·         Do not use plastic bags to collect your recycling

·         Empty and Rinse containers

·         Remove caps and lids

·         Flatten milk cartons and drink boxes

·         Remove straws from drink boxes

·         Staples, paper clips, rubber bands, and envelope windows are ok

·         Flatten cardboard boxes. Cardboard that does not fit in the recycling bin can be placed next to it.

·         Reminder: Off campus students caught depositing their trash or recycling in Ithaca College receptacles may be liable to a $250 fine.
