Daniel Weller, Anthropology major, receives national student paper awardContributed by Jack Rossen on 12/02/11 Daniel Weller, Anthropology '12, received a national student paper award at the American Anthropological Association annual conference in Montreal on November 12. The award is the Christine Wilson Student Paper Award from the Society for the Anthropology of Food and Nutrition. Dan's paper is titled, "Contextualizing the Immigrant Experience: The Role of Food and Foodways in Identity Maintenance and Formation For First and Second Generation Latino Individuals in Ithaca, NY." The paper is based on original research and interviews. Dan was able to travel to the meeting to receive his award. |
