A huge thank you to all those who participated in and contributed to the "A Cappella Umbrella" benefit concert and the "Hope for M-E" gift program.

On behalf of the M-EALS and Leadership Program, we would like to thank all of you for your overwhelming generosity during this very trying time.  As a region, we have faced unprecedented economic times, the grip of which seems tighter everyday.  On top of this, we have faced flooding of epic proportions twice in five years.  For many families, this is a triple whammy.  Facing a lack of resources to meet your basic needs on a daily basis is very disheartening as you can imagine.  As we approach holiday season, many families do not know how they are going to grant any Christmas wishes, let alone provide food for the extended break from school.  With your help, we have helped bring smiles to many, many children and relief to their parents this holiday season.  We cannot thank you enough for your outpouring of generosity, thoughtfulness and empathy.  I marvel every day at the level of community support we have in this area and the unquestioning willingness of strangers to help those in need.
