If you have a used digital camera that is in decent working order, please consider donating it to a photo project in Benin, Africa.

The goal of this project is to give village children the opportunity to learn about and experience the basics of photography and to raise awareness of Africa's water and food crisis by showing life through the eyes of village children. This project, which began in 2008, has yielded some wonderful stories and amazing photos.  This will be the third batch of cameras sent to Peace Corps Volunteers in various African countries.  These cameras will be headed to Ali Buchanan, a 2011 IC Grad serving in Savalou, Benin.

If you would like more information or if you have a functional digital camera you are willing to donate, please contact Sybil Conrad at 274-1172 or stop by the Campus Center office located next to the Information Desk in Egbert Hall. Thank You!
