Cornell Woodson, Class of 2009, will present the keynote workshop for the ESP first Spring symposium.  Cornell will speak authentically about academic success, how to recover from academic difficulty, and how to survive the ups and downs of college academic life.  He will present statistics which we hope will encourage you to "hang in there!"

Then, the Emerging Scholars Program coaches will talk about Personal Excellence as the key to Thriving (thoroughly living!).  Aja Houpe, Leslie Spalding, Oluwayeni Ropo-Tusin, and Cedrick Michael Simmons will lead this discussion on why you should not settle for less out of yourself during this 4 year experience.

Finally, Dr. Shewanee Howard-Baptiste and Mr. Christopher House will lead participants in a discussion about sexual health practices, sexually transmitted diseases, and negotiating your relationships.  They will touch upon the idea that your personal relationships and habits MAY have implications for your academic outcomes as well!
