It is pretty safe to say that Ithacappella has had a pretty solid semester so far. With two block concerts under our belt, a brand spanking new CD, and 6 killer newbies...we've been on a roll. But...as luck would have it...we're going to be a few men down for the Spring semester and could really use some help. That's where YOU come in!!
If you are reading this event summary, have long flowing hair, and wear a bra...you need not read on. But for everyone else...the fellas...this is your chance to be a part of something BIG!! Miss the chance to audition at the beginning of the year? A bit too nervous? Just didn't feel like it? NOW is your chance!!
The mid-year auditions will be very similar to our auditions at the beginning of the Fall semester. Come and sign up for a time slot between 12PM and 3PM on Saturday JANUARY 28TH at our table in the CAMPUS CENTER LOBBY all next week. We will be on hand to answer any questions and provide you with any additional information you may need.
We ask that all auditionees prepare a verse and a chorus of two contrasting pieces (up-tempo and a ballad, rock and a pop, etc.). In the audition, we will take you through some pitch matching exercises and a range check, as well as ask a few additional questions for housekeeping purposes.
Callbacks will be held that night in Presser Hall, you start first thing Monday, and then hit the stage with us on March 2nd for your first block concert as an official member of Ithacappella. Makin' moves.
