Curated by Mara Baldwin, You Are Here highlights the diversity of contemporary practices at Ithaca College, and the creative achievements of the 17 artists promises an experience of a very special kind. This year’s exhibition includes innovative and conceptual approaches to a variety of media and demonstrates why Ithaca College faculty are consistently recognized for their excellence as artists. It also provides members of the community an opportunity to view the work of those influencing the next generation of artists. All Handwerker Gallery events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.; Thursday, 10.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.; and weekends, noon to 5.00 p.m.. The gallery is closed to the public on Tuesdays unless otherwise specified for an event but can accommodate group or class visits by appointment. The Handwerker Gallery is pleased to present You Are Here, opening Monday, January 23, 2012. The exhibition features faculty in the art; television-radio; and cinema, photography, and media arts departments and showcases painting, printmaking, sculpture, film, and photography.
