New Aphasia Support Group

Contributed by Heather Hedges on 01/24/12

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology is hosting an aphasia support group and if you are a stroke or traumatic brain injury survivor with aphasia or communication difficulties, we invite you to join us!

The Ithaca Community Aphasia Network (ICAN) will provide a casual and comfortable atmosphere for participants to talk, share experiences, and offer support to one another. Group members will gain new information to help them face challenges in their everyday lives.

Membership in the group is free and open to everyone in the Ithaca community.

ICAN group sessions will begin on February 9 and will be held every Thursday afternoon from 4-5:30 pm in Room 213, Center For Health Sciences.
