Email System Performance Issues

ITS recognizes the importance of a robust, reliable email system and we are aware of the performance issues with our current system.

Symptoms include (for both Webmail and email clients such as Thunderbird or Mac Mail) very slow loading of email, slow response times while working in email, long delays in sending or deleting messages, timeouts, repeated prompts to login, etc. Performance can be severely degraded at peak usage times. We realize that this is a very frustrating and time-consuming experience for our users. ITS is actively exploring options for the future direction of our campus email environment.
