Lis Maurer recently published a book chapter titled, "Family Life Education with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Families," in the book Family Life Education With Diverse Populations. The book, edited by Sharon M. Ballard and Alan C. Taylor, has just been released by Sage Publications.

The book bridges the gap between research and practice by examining key strategies for working with diverse populations. Chapters explore eleven diverse groups and their strengths and unique cultural characteristics, present an evidence-based practice approach with each chapter, and define best practices. The book is for students who are preparing to work with families, as well as professionals already in the field.
