Ithaca College

Professor Janet Galván conducted the Colorado Women's All-State Chorus in Denver, Colorado, from February 5-7.  Dr. Jamie Spillane, Ithaca College alum, conducted the All-State Mixed Chorus.  They are pictured after the concert.

Janet Galván, Professor of Music at Ithaca College, conducts the Ithaca College Women's Chorale, the Ithaca College Chorus, and is Artistic Director for the Ithaca Children's Choir. Her New York colleagues recognized Dr. Galván’s contribution to choral music in 1995 when she received the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) New York Outstanding Choral Director Award.  In 2010, she founded the chorus UNYC which has performed with the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra (Lanfranco Marcelleti, conductor).
