Don't Miss Your Chance to Study Abroad in China! Join Information Session.Contributed by Paul Deamer on 02/14/12
Classes and excursions will be delivered by Chinese faculty from well known academic institutions, business professionals, and government officials from China and US that assist companies with doing business in and out of China. Traveling between Beijing and Shanghai, the student itinerary includes visits to businesses (Chinese and Joint Ventures with foreign companies) and major historical and tourist sites in those two cities, such as; the Great Wall, Tinamen square, Bird Nest Olympic park, Bund, and Nanjing and Watertown of Shanghai, among others. There will be an informational session open to all Ithaca College students on Wednesday, February 15, from 7 - 8 p.m., in the Business School (BUS 104). Students interested in this trip should enroll in a 1 cr. Block 2 course in Spring 2012 and between the two courses, they would receive a total of three credits that could be used as “business” or “open” elective. Professor Hormoz Movassaghi said, "China’s long history, rich civilization, unique culture, growing business and financial power in the global economy, active government involvement, rapid and yet uneven economic development & the consequences of all of these are what students are going to learn about in this class and experience first-hand during the visits." For more information, contact professor Movassaghi, 311 Park Center-Business, hormoz@ithaca.edu, 274-3956. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Paul M. Deamer at pdeamer@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-1279. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
