The School of Music Annual Black History Month Concert will be held on Friday, February 24th at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall.  The concert will feature a very special group of elementary aged students from Beverly J. Martin 3rd Grade Class and the Choraliers from the community school of the Arts.  The children will present President Barack Obama’s book “Of Thee I Sing: Letter to My Daughters."

The concert will also feature the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, Worlds of Music Class, African Drumming and Dance Ensemble and School of Music Students.

The Annual Black History Month Concert is coordinated and led by School of Music Associate Professor Baruch Whitehead

Concerts are free and open to the public.  Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodation should contact the School of Music at 607-274-3717.
