(submitted on behalf of Mark Coldren and Mary Tomaselli) The next Supervisory Academy session will be held the week of June 11-15, 2012. The Academy is an intensive, week-long development experience designed to support supervisors in their critical role of providing direction to Ithaca College employees. It is an expectation that all supervisors complete the program--to date 120 supervisors have already done so. Participants also have the opportunity to interact with our College leaders, get six months of support from a professional coach, and receive a certificate of completion. Participants said: “You gave us SO many tools to work with.” “This was a great opportunity for getting to know fellow supervisors on campus and compare notes on how to deal with various things in our areas.” “We are lucky to work for a place that invests in us with this program.” “The opportunity to communicate with the President and his council over lunch was a valuable part of the program.” If you are a supervisor and would like to be considered for inclusion in the June session, or would like to recommend a supervisor who reports to you, please email Mary Tomaselli (mtomaselli@ithaca.edu) before March 1, 2012.
