A concert exploring the influence of Ottoman court music on Turkish Sephardic and Jewish Moldavian music will take place on Saturday, February 18 at 8 P.M. in the Muller Chapel.

  The concert will feature: 

  • Oguz Kaan Birhekimoğlu: (Composer for National Turkish Radio and Television and Musical Archivist for the Turkish Government, Master of Mevlana Dervish Ceremonial Music) performing on Turkish Ney
  • Max Buckholtz: Violinist (Lecturer of Jewish Musical Traditions- Ithaca College)
  • Nikolai Ruskin: Oud and Percussion (Former director of the Cornell Middle Eastern Ensemble)

There will be a light reception following the concert.
