Coming up are a couple of Faculty Show and Share sessions focusing on how faculty are using Turnitin in their courses.  Turnitin is primarily an online plagiarism detection tool but can also be used to demonstrate proper citing and use of sources. No sign up is required. The location is in the CET (Job 102).

Monday, Feb 20, 1:30- 230 pm (Nancy Menning, Ian Woods, Beth Caldwell)

Tuesday, Feb 28, 12:10-1:10 pm (David Gondek, Carole Dennis, Lily Sheehan)

Each session will be a brief show and tell, followed by an informal discussion with several faculty members who have used Turnitin.  Come to one or both to discuss different perspectives and tips on using this tool and the topic of plagiarism.

This is not a hands-on workshop on the mechanics of using the tool. See the TLC calendar to sign up for the Turnitin workshop on Feb 23, 3-4 pm

For more information on Turnitin, see the ITS Turnitin page or contact Marilyn Dispensa at mdispensa@ithaca.edu (274-3647).
