As part of an IC2 project, students in Assistant Professor Miranda Kaye’s (ESS) Research Methods class collaborated with Prevention magazine and writer Natalie Gingrich Mackenzie to assess a fitness program.

Spurred on by previous research findings by Professor Gary Sforzo (ESS), students worked with Kaye and Sforzo to design a study to examine the combined effects of resistance training and exercise bands.

Graduate student Sarah Simunovich headed the project and was aided by undergraduates Matt Baluzy, Kristen Demers, Hanna Foley, Alana Koehler, and John Silver.

The project took place last spring. Results have been published in the new book, Tone Every Inch, written by Natalie Mackenzie and the editors of Prevention.

The book was released on February 14 and can be found on Amazon.
