IC Students Produce Maple Syrup for Sale...Buy Local - Buy IC!Contributed by Carol Hansen on 02/20/12
Led by Professor Jason Hamilton and his teaching/lab assistant Todd Aldrich, the South Hill Non-Timber Forest Products class has just produced their first batch of syrup of the season. However there are only 22 bottles of this liquid gold available for purchase! This early-season select batch of all-natural maple syrup is Grade A Vermont Fancy, the highest quality grade available, and is sure to go fast. Bottles sell for $18 apiece, which rolls back in to future SHFP enterprises, and can be purchased in room 282 of the Center for Natural Sciences this Wednesday (2/22) from 10 AM to 1 PM or Thursday/Friday (2/23 and 2/24) from 10 AM to 4 PM. For more information on what we do, go to https://www.ithaca.edu/naturallands/forestproducts/ and stay tuned for future South Hill Forest Products (mushrooms, honey, herbal remedies, etc!) updates. |
