This workshop will provide faculty who are new to teaching liberal arts courses the resources they need to build engaging and productive Ithaca Seminars.

Presenters: Shaianne Osterreich and faculty from the Ithaca Seminar Program.

Program Description:  This workshop will provide faculty who are new to teaching liberal arts courses the resources they need to build engaging and productive Ithaca Seminars. This workshop will cover the following:

· Guidelines for liberal arts according to New York State and APC
· Pedagogy of teaching in the liberal arts tradition

Format:

· Mini-presentations by Ithaca Seminar faculty.
· Small-group discussions on advancing critical thinking with papers, readings, and in-class discussions related to your class.

Note: Beverages and a snack will be provided. Feel free to bring a lunch for the noon meeting.
