Board of Trustees Grants Tenure, Promotion, and Emeritus StatusContributed by David Maley on 02/26/12 At its February meeting, the Ithaca College Board of Trustees granted emeritus/a status to 9 former faculty members and awarded promotions and tenure to 13 current faculty members. The following faculty were awarded tenure and promoted from assistant to associate professor: Department of English Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education Department of History Department of Music Theory, History, and Composition Department of Performance Studies Department of Sociology Department of Sport Management and Media Department of Strategic Communication Department of Writing Peter Seligmann, who taught in the Department of Physics and passed away in 2002, was posthumously named professor emeritus. The following retired faculty members were named professor emeritus/a: Department of Anthropology Department of Art Department of English Gerontology Institute Department of Recreation & Leisure Studies Department of Sociology Board of Trustees Grants Tenure, Promotion, and Emeritus Status Comment from
