This will be the first of a monthly food justice series to raise awareness on food issues locally, nationally, and globally, followed by a panel/discussion exploring the reality of food security in Tompkins County.

The first screening will be of clips from FOOD, INC. on Thursday, March 1 @ 7pm in Williams 323.

Health, jobs, access, workers' rights, government, nutrition, policy, corporations, animal rights, economy, institutionalized inequity, local sustainability, obesity and malnutrition, culture... all these are among the many issues related to food.

Through learning about global and national food systems we can better understand what is going into our own bodies and the systems that influence that. The main goal of the Food Justice Film Series is to create a connection to our local food system and issues around food security in Tompkins County.
