The spring semester round of the Green Office Challenge is now underway. We encourage Green Office Challenge participants to think about the ways in which they are incorporate sustainability thinking and practice into their daily work life. Participation is open to any employee, faculty, staff or student worker. The Green Office Challenge online survey covers the broad range of sustainable workplace practices, ranging from your awareness of related college policies and programs, to your efforts to conserve energy and water resources, your support for recycling and waste reduction efforts, as well as decisions you may make related to the procurement of "green" products in your office, events you may hold or organize, and your commuter transportation choices.

All Green Office Challenge participants who complete the survey receive an award certificate that reflects their respective earned score level. If more than 50% of an office group participates, the office can earn a Green Office certificate.

All those who participated in the Green Office Challenge last Fall are encouraged to participate again and strive to break into the next award level. We want to see some “gold medalists” this time around! If you didn’t get a chance to participate last Fall, here’s your opportunity to challenge yourself to see how sustainable you are – or could be - in your workplace. Encourage others in your office to take the challenge as well and together you could earn a Green Office award.

The survey tool will be open through Saturday, March 31st.

Results of the Spring 2012 Green Office Challenge will be announced around Earth Week in April.

This spring semester, rise to this Challenge!

Good luck!
