Have you noticed people on campus wearing green polka dot ribbons?

These ribbons are part of IC Feminists’ commemoration of Women's History Month, an educational movement that began in the 1970s as a response to the absence of women's stories and histories in the classroom.

Wearing these ribbons helps to remind students, faculty, and staff that women's histories and narratives are often marginalized in the classroom while simultaneously celebrating all that has been and can be accomplished in the women’s movement.

Ask someone wearing a ribbon how you can get your own!
